What is Raw Milk?
Raw Milk is straight from the cow, to a chiller, to a jug, to you! It does not undergo any processing. It is NEVER pasteurized (heated), NEVER homogenized (crushed), or otherwise altered. Which means that it still complete with bioavailable vitamins, minerals, enzymes, beneficial bacteria, naturally occurring CLA and omega-3 fatty acids.
Why Drink Raw Milk?
Raw milk is a living food, full of beneficial bacteria that are critical to your health. Several of milk’s natural ingredients are heat-sensitive and are destroyed during the pasteurization process. This beneficial bacteria can improve your gut health, leading to an overall stronger immune system.
The butterfat in raw milk is rich in vitamins A, K and E that need fat to absorb in your body. It is also rich in water-soluble vitamins like C & B-complex, all of which are delicate and largely destroyed by heat.
Pasture Grazed - 100% Grass Fed
Grass-fed cows produce milk and meat that is higher in fatty acids, specifically Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). Research has shown that CLA is known to fight certain cancers, hypertension and obesity. In addition to this, all of our milk is A2. Studies have shown that A2 milk has several benefits over traditional A1 milk due to the different form of beta-casein.*
Most big dairies routinely give their cows antibiotics and an unnatural grain diet containing corn and soy. Although this produces higher volumes of milk, it also has a negative effect of producing less health nutrition. Cows stomachs were not created to consume corn and soy, this leads to infections and the need of antibiotics.
Spring Creek Meadows never uses antibiotics, vaccines, pesticides or herbicides. Our cows diets consist of only grass in the growing season, hay in the winter and natural vitamins and minerals.
*Spring Creek Meadows Farm makes no medical claims about raw milk or A2 vs A1 milk, plenty of research is available from qualified sources.
